Hand-knitted Entrelac Sweater in White Merino Wool & splashes of Pink and Blue
Hand-knitted Entrelac Sweater in White Merino Wool & splashes of Pink and Blue
This has been a labour of Love. I have wanted to knit Entrelac Sweaters for quite a while. Each time I got to the under arm gusset section, I got stuck. I actually ended up messaging some lovely Russian ladies I follow on both Instagram & Etsy (usually a lot og Google Translate) to see if they could help me get my head around understanding the pattern. Eventually, I found the author, Gwen Bortner of the entrelac book I was following on Ravelry and message her. She was so helpful and actually emailed me a detail instruction on how to do the underarm section. I am very grateful for Gwen's help and so pleased that I finally managed to finish my first Entrelac Top Down Sweater.
I also found this delightully soft White Merino Wool on Hobbii (If you haven't tried them, you should! All their yarns are wonderful!) Honestly, this is the most huggable yarn I have ever used!
Now... the secret to this design is that from the front, or even from the back, it looks like a white entrelac sweater. But... as soon as you move your arms, you get a flash of soft pinks, blues & lilac's. That makes this even more unique and slightly unusual in its design. And, I see that chunky sweater are all the rage at the moment, so it is also over-sized and also with bigger, puffier sleeves, too.
I hope you like it just as much as I have enjoyed pouring love into this creation.
